Ranked by ENR magazine as a top electrical and utility contracting company in the Southeast United States, Hypower provides services to government agencies, electrical utilities, developers, and leading general contractors.
Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Hypower employs more than 700 people and has successfully completed over 1,500 projects valued at over $1.4 billion.

Hypower is prequalified with several electrical power providers and almost all of Florida’s telecommunications service providers to perform various tasks required for undergrounding overhead power and telecommunication lines.

Undergrounding is a technical specialty; therefore, utilities are very strict with who they trust in their undergrounding work projects. They prequalify many aspects, including safety, knowledge, experience, and resources.

Experience Modification Rate (EMR) is the key indicator of a contractor’s safety record. Hypower has a history of exemplary EMR ratings:

Hypower Safety Interstate EMR:

  • 2022- 0.83
  • 2021 – 0.65
