About the project:
Hypower is prime electrical contractor for a new 614-bed residence hall at the FAU Boca Raton Campus. The hall will contain 400 single rooms and 200 double rooms in four-person suites. Each suite will contain two bathrooms shared between the four residents. In addition, 12 resident assistant rooms will be constructed to include full baths and living rooms. The new residence hall will include facilities for reception, mail services, administrative offices, meeting spaces, and live-in professional staff accommodations. Residents will have access to a fitness room, classroom, conference room, multipurpose room, computer lab, floor study lounges, laundry facilities, and kitchen.

- Install concrete encased ductbank, meters, submeters, transformer, switch pads

- Protect existing site utility services
- Light poles and fixtures, concrete bases, grounding, hand holes and pull boxes
- Pathways and concrete bases for CCTV
- Parking lot, canopy, volleyball/basketball and sign lighting
- Secondary Electrical Services
- Duct bank and conduit, feeders from generators to fire pump, surge protection at all panels, feeders for power distribution, commissioning and coordination of commissioning, 4” housekeeping pads
- Emergency electrical services and equipment
- 300 kW diesel generator and miscellaneous generator support accessories, battery charger, jacket heaters, exhaust components, ATS, controls, feeders, etc.
