FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, February 20, 2020– Hypower, one of the largest specialty contractors in the Southeast, today announced it has been named as a South Florida Business Journal 2020 Best Places to Work Honoree. The SFBJ Best Places to Work program recognizes companies that go above and beyond to create an enjoyable and meaningful work environment for employees. Winners are selected based on high scores from employee attitude and satisfaction survey results.
The SFBJ Best Places to Work program honorees are determined from an online survey administered by Quantum Workplace. Employees are asked to evaluate a number of categories in the workplace, such as job satisfaction, diversity, manager effectiveness, benefits, and leadership. Ultimately, the highest-scoring companies are the ones listed as finalists.
When asked to highlight what perks employees appreciate most at Hypower, company executives highlighted such offerings as frequent team meetings, companywide events that include employee families, training and educational opportunities. Employees also appreciate sponsored vendor training, specialized skills training, and tuition reimbursement programs.
Among the unique initiatives that make Hypower a Best Place to Work have been the development of cross-functional work teams and encouragement of cross-divisional job coordination, as well as its whole company health and wellness program, and subsidized health insurance.
Employees appreciate the paid gym membership, tuition reimbursement, community involvement, annual picnic, and other events. And how does being a Best Place to Work affect Hypower’s bottom line? The company has enjoyed higher productivity and fewer ill calls and has cultivated a spirit of continuous improvement.
