Hypower Announces the Appointment of Raymond McCorkel as Chief Executive Officer

Mr. McCorkel’s career is defined by deep expertise in the power and telecommunications sectors and exceptional executive management, project management, business development, and estimating skills. His comprehensive background encompasses expertise in Power and Communications Construction, Utility and Outside Plant Construction, Aerial and Underground Construction, Fiber Optic Networks (including Long Haul Fiber Builds and Metro Builds), Ductbank and Gas/Pipeline Construction, Homeland Security Projects, and Disaster Recovery and Restoration.

Since joining Hypower in 2010 as a Senior Project Manager, Mr. McCorkel has consistently advanced within the organization, serving as Division Manager (2014), Vice President (2018), Senior Vice President (2022), and President of Utility Infrastructure (2023). His 14 years of dedicated service to Hypower demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence and strategic leadership.

A United States Marine Corps veteran, Mr. McCorkel brings a disciplined and mission-driven approach to his role as CEO. His leadership has been instrumental in executing complex infrastructure projects, including Brightline high-speed rail, and overseeing the world’s largest shore power initiative at PortMiami. This groundbreaking project underscores his strategic vision and commitment to environmental sustainability within the maritime industry.
