MIAMI, FLORIDA, MARCH 14, 2015- The leading specialty electrical contractor in South Florida, Hypower, is powering up the first ever Formula E event on American soil.
Designed and installed by Tom White and his team from Hypower’s Electrical Service Division, this race is unique and groundbreaking. The event is scheduled to take place near the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL on Saturday, March 14th 2015, from 8 am – 4 pm.
“We are very proud to be part of this great venue”, Bernard Paul-Hus, president of the company, was quoted as saying. “Our core values are relationships, professionalism, results, continuous improvement and supporting our community. We are passionate about our work and partnerships with our clients. We strive to always exceed expectations with integrity and professionalism. To be chosen by the Andretti Marketing team as their electrical contractor is a great honor.”
Formula E also aims to represent a vision for the future of the motor industry, serving as a framework for R&D around the electric vehicle, accelerating general interest in these cars and promoting clean energy and sustainability. Hypower designed and built all the 50Hz equipment, power racks and coordinated all electrical aspects of this project.
Formula E will operate as an ‘open championship’, allowing teams and manufacturers the opportunity to showcase their own electrical energy innovations. Working to the technical specifications set out by the FIA, teams will focus their efforts on improving and developing powertrains and battery technology, with the aim of this filtering into the everyday electric vehicle market.
“This spectacular series will offer both entertainment and a new opportunity to share FIA’s values for clean energy, mobility and sustainability. The FIA is definitely looking to the future!”, said Jean Todt, President of FIA.
Tickets are available through ticketmaster.com and expected to sell out fast.
