Hypower’s Wind Energy division assures you self-performing support through every phase of your project. We specialize in handling interconnection challenges, overhead power planning, substation construction and other complex requirements with timely, efficient management at every step. Wind farm services include all the following:
1. Pre-Construction
The earlier you partner with us, the better your results will be. Pre-construction is the most critical stage in your wind energy project. It’s our window of opportunity to plan for, adjust to, or prevent many hidden project challenges you probably don’t even realize exist yet. This helps you work smarter from the start; increases your efficiency; and rewards you with fewer costly surprises during later construction phases.
Hypower excels at pre-construction services including:
- Conceptual design at cost-effective rates: initial concept to complete engineered plans
- Assistance with interconnection
- Assistance with environmental permitting
- Assistance with MET towers

Engineering packages typically consist of geotechnical investigations, foundation design, collection system design, civil layouts, substation design, and electrical equipment procurement specifications. The following is a list of key engineering tasks which Hypower provides to developers:

2. Balance of Plant (BOP)
We’ll take your drawings or bid package to a full set of plans for construction. Our on-staff engineers, drafting teams and other key wind farm professionals offer you years of experience, including expertise in substation and overhead power planning.
3. Construction Management
We have senior-level experienced project managers and support staff to smoothly manage your construction from start to finish, including substation needs.
4. Owner’s Representation
If you need Owner’s Representation during your wind energy construction project, we have the experienced staff to assure your project will be built in accordance to plan. We can serve as your third party support, providing regular, consistent feedback via project websites, digital photos and daily reports.
5. Operations/Maintenance Services
We can provide operations and maintenance services on your wind farm project, including:
- Substations
- Collection line (should this be singular or plural?)
- Overhead lines
- Pad mount transformers
