Heron Heights “Exceeded all Expectations on the Heron Heights Elementary School Project.”

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (December 10, 2009) – Hypower, Inc. received praise for their work ethic and attention to detail on the Heron Heights School project.  Dana Nelson, the Project Engineer for Skanska USA Building, the General Contractor on the Heron Heights Project had this to say:

“To all at Hypower, your dedication and efforts were once again unmatched as you exceeded all expectations on the Heron Heights Elementary School project. Your expertise in electrical and solar power was instrumental in completing our project ahead of schedule. Integrating two separate types of solar technologies for a combined 50 kW system is almost unheard of yet you performed the task flawlessly. Additionally, this commitment to excellence was demonstrated by providing the school district educational seminars, detailed follow-on training, and an interactive solar monitoring website. This is why Hypower is one of our Top Performing Partners!”

We would like to thank Dana Nelson for recognizing the great care we take with all of our projects and hope to continue working with Skanska in the future.

Heron Heights Elementary Educational Afternoon; Release of heronheightssolar.com

PARKLAND, Fla. (November 30, 2009) – Hypower was invited to publically introduce the heronheightssolar.com web interface at Heron Heights Elementary this afternoon.  With representatives from Skanska, the faculty, and the principal of Heron Heights Kenneth King in attendance, Hypower showcased the website and its navigational features.

Giving a brief synopsis of the project and highlighting the unique aspects of the 50 Kw Solar Photovoltaic project, Chris MacDonald, Hypower project manager for the Heron Heights venture, actually took the educators through the website dashboard, explaining the system’s performance and environmental offsets.  Scott Williams, Renewable Energy Division Manager, was also in attendance to emphasize how unique the Heron Heights project is to Broward County and Florida.

“By educating the young people of this country about renewable energy solutions like solar, we are cultivating these ideas in the next generation.  By sowing the seeds of alternative energy solutions now, this generation will see things with a new understanding of what needs to be done to conserve and reduce our impact on the planet,” stated Richard Paul-Hus, Hypower’s Senior Vice President in charge of Business Development who was also at the event underscoring Hypower’s unique role in this project.

While this is the first such school project to utilize both the amorphous and crystalline solar technologies, there is discussion of installing similar arrays at other schools to not only offset the environmental impact, but also to be used as educational tools highlighting how everyone actively participates in saving the planet.

Hypower Inc. Supports Local Efforts of Taylor's Closet

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (November 24, 2009) – Hypower, Inc. is always trying to help local, national, and international organizations in their efforts toward making the world a better place.  Today, Hypower is highlighting one of the local charities that is making south Florida a better place for young girls.

Taylor’s Closet is the brain child of Lindsay Giambattista after she wanted to have an outreach program to help foster girls.  Through clothing donations, Lindsay is able to set up “shops” and “stores” throughout the area to “allow girls in foster care to come into a store-like environment and ‘shop’ for whatever clothes they liked – completely free of charge.”
Beginning in late 2005 as a mini “shop” at the Holiday Boat parade until today with a permanent “store” for foster girls and online sales, Taylor’s Closet is an organization giving hope and smiles everyday.

“There are over 500,000 children in this country that are being bumped around the foster care system in this country.  In a country that prides itself on its wellbeing and ability to provide, children often slip through the cracks.  It is important to not overlook these often forgotten young people, and try to put a smile on a child’s face.  Taylor’s Closet is a local way a business like Hypower can reach out to them,” said Richard Paul-Hus, Vice President of Business Development.

Taylor’s Closet is a special organization helping abused, neglected, injured foster girls feel beautiful, pretty, and nice.  Hypower is proud to help Taylor’s Closet put a smile on a young girls face each and everyday.  If you would like to share in the smiles, visit Taylor's Closet at http://www.taylorscloset.org.

“[O]ften … organizations get the label as just a vendor or contractor who won the bid, however this is not the case.  HyPower and its staff members like Rodney White have set the example for all others to follow,” was just a short excerpt from the letter Eric Paul-Hus received this week.

Hypower was thanked for the “excellent service that Lee County has received” over the past couple years, complementing the helpfulness, general knowledge, professionalism, and progress that the team headed by Rodney White provided.

Richard Paul-Hus was informed of the positive remarks and said, “It is nice to have quality work and positive progress recognized by clients.  While clients should expect satisfaction in everything we do, mostly letters are only drafted to point blame or demand certain changes.  These types of letters are a welcome addition to what passes across our desks.”

The Lee county/City of Fort Myers Streetscape Project is a project that centered around the beautification of the city, placing original aerial utilities underground valued at approximately $2.7 million.

Hypower’s First Annual Family “Fun in the Sun” Company Picnic a Success

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (October 17, 2009) – Hypower Inc. began prepping the picnic site at Quiet Waters Park on Friday October 16th for their first annual “Fun in the Sun” Family Friendly Company Picnic.  The big day came, and opened with a few showers – but that just put a slight damper on what many said was “… the best company picnic…” they’d ever attended.

With activities ranging from flag football, volleyball, bounce houses, laser tag, and horseshoes, to egg toss, dancing, and more the Hypower event capped off the summer.  Without the tireless efforts of Eric Paul-Hus and his brother Richard, Millie Magli, and many more the picnic would not have gone as smoothly and successfully as it did.

“This is huge,” said one guest, “it is so nice to come to an event like this and have fun with friends and family in a family friendly environment.  Thank you so much Hypower for putting on such a successful picnic.  We are already looking forward to 2010’s.”
Not to be content with solely putting on an enjoyable picnic, the Paul-Hus brothers donated all of the extra food including chicken, ribs, burgers, potato salad, cole slaw, and more to the local homeless shelter, Broward Partnership for the Homeless.

“It’s important to remember that while we may be having a great time, laughing, playing, and joking, there are others whom are not so fortunate.  It is nice to be in a position to give back to the community.”
